After the Tone explores austerity Britain and the male mental health crisis, the story centered around a small, independent radio station in the town of Sway. Sway Radio is hosted by Stacy Creeber, who spins lo-fi local records, but spends most of her time dealing with the various problems belonging to the cast of colorful characters who call into the show. She is also writing her own comic book about the people on the airwaves. The most prominent of these callers are Max (The Incapable Inventor), Harmony (The Holistic Healer), Finley (The Cash-strapped Clown) and Emilia (The Disillusioned Dancer.)

This kooky combination of narrative theatre, quirky hand-drawn animations and all original 80’s inspired synth-pop has already established Hotel Elsewhere with a unique take on contemporary theatre, full of heart, whimsy, and melancholy in equal measure. But don’t take our word for it! After the Tone has been described by our charming Hotel guests on twitter as “RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING!”, “A powerful, moving and sharply funny bit of theatre” with “an incredible style that just hit all the right spots.”
